It all comes back to the notion that humans are scientifically bad at multitasking. Does this mean that when we are listening to the radio, we can’t see? If that fails to get the driver’s attention, a representative from General Motors “OnStar” service will come on the car’s intercom to speak directly with the driver. If there is still no response from the driver, the car will automatically pull over on the side of the road.

Incredible! This new technology could save thousands of lives and prevent countless accidents and injuries. How will we feel about a system that is monitoring our every move, and reporting it back to some overseeing figure? What will the company do with the information it is reading?
